The Audit Package bundles everything you need for an 835 payment appeal, audit, or compliance review into a single downloadable ZIP file.
Overview
When you need to dispute a claim payment, respond to an audit, or document a payer interaction, you often need multiple pieces of data — the original remittance, a redacted version for safe sharing, and structured exports for analysis. The Audit Package generates all of these in one click.

What's Included
The Audit Package is configurable — you choose which files to include:

PHI Notice
The original 835 contains Protected Health Information (patient names, IDs, dates of birth). It is excluded by default. Only include it if you need the original for internal use and your workflow meets HIPAA requirements.
How to Generate
- Upload an 835 remittance file
- Click the Export dropdown in the toolbar
- Under 835 Payment Data, click Audit Package (ZIP)
- Review the configuration — check/uncheck which files to include
- Click Generate Package
- The ZIP downloads automatically
File Naming
All files in the ZIP follow a consistent naming pattern:

Package Statistics
After generating, EDI Paisan shows a summary:
- Total files in the package
- Total size of the ZIP
- Claim count included
- Individual file sizes listed
