Multi-file loading and bulk processing features are currently in development. This page describes planned functionality.
Current Capabilities
Today, EDI Paisan works with one file at a time. You can:
- Upload and view a single EDI file
- Split that file into multiple chunks
- Download individual chunks
- Export data from the active file
When you upload a new file, it replaces the currently loaded file.
Planned Features
We're working on multi-file support to enable:
Multiple File Loading
Load several files simultaneously and switch between them using tabs. Useful for:
- Comparing original files to split chunks
- Reviewing a batch of remittances
- Auditing multiple claims
Payment Reconciliation
Match 835 remittances to original 837 claims to identify:
- Fully paid claims
- Partial payments
- Denials
- Missing claims
Batch Export
Export data from multiple files at once into combined reports.

Current Workarounds
While we develop bulk features, here are some workarounds:
Multiple Browser Tabs
Open EDI Paisan in multiple browser tabs, load different files in each, and compare side-by-side.
Split Then Process
Use the split feature to break large files into smaller chunks, then process each chunk individually.
Export and Analyze Externally
Export data from each file to CSV/JSON, then combine and analyze in Excel, Python, or your preferred tool.
